goals
- Preserve liberty, order and public peace.
- Safeguard the integrity and rights of individuals.
- Assist the Attorney General's Office and the branches of the Union.
- Prevent crimes.
- Develop the policy of Public Security of the Federal Executive Branch.
- Propose its Criminal Policy.
- Manage the Federal Prison System and on the treatment of juvenile offenders.
- All of this in terms of the powers given to him by the Organic Law of the Federal Public Administration and other federal laws and regulations, decrees, agreements and orders of the President of the Republic.
